Wonderful!! This is very interesting. Thank you so much for sharing. 💗🙏
Aspects of this work remind me of Process Work (developed by Arnold Mindell, I assume you're familiar with PW), combined with Focusing (Eugene Gendlin)... and also of my own practice of Synchronosophy (based on subjective experience).
I also see differences, of course, original contributions you're making to this exploration of felt experience, which is unique to, and rooted in, the fundamental concepts touched upon in your explanations (which are distinct from PW, Focusing and Synchronosophy).
Nice case study too. Brilliant work! And many thanks to Susan's generous sharing.
I love the term 'psychotopology'.
Best wishes and heartfelt thanks for nurturing this important work 💗🙏
Thank you so much for your affirmation, Veronika. You and I have been on similar paths, it seems, yes?
I touched in on Arnie Mindell's work a long time ago, and found it resonant in some ways. And Focusing, too, for sure, but with boundaries of limitation that were cracked open in my own investigations. Another modality that's even closer than these two is Ron Kurtz's Hakomi method, are you familiar with that one? IFS also has a strong connection. So many great threads weaving felt sense, parts work, and other aspects emerging into a tapestry of styles that reveal and affirm our innate inner wisdom.
Deep thanks back to you for being the vessel to bring Synchronosophy into the world. (I have some sense of the kind of commitment and persistence it takes to steward such a presence into being!) Once I get ahead of the curve with laying the foundation here, I'd love to talk sometime.
Yes, I came across Spring's substack channel some months ago, felt an immediate resonance, and through her found you.
I have Ron's book on Hakomi too (haven't looked at it in ages, thanks for the reminder). And yes IFS sounds like it has some parallels too. Like you, I have felt the need for my own investigation. My daughter has trained in Mindell's PW, and I always find it inspiring to exchange sessions, but it's not totally mine.
True, this work takes incredible commitment, at times I have lost the thread a bit, but then it has always pulled me back in and forward...
I know what you mean! Still in the process of establishing the groundwork. It looks like we are very much on parallel paths, and it will be good to connect some time in the future. A rare opportunity for sharing between kindred spirits. I look forward to that 💗🙏
