In learning, many people prefer to start with experience and follow up with more conceptual understanding afterwards. If this is you, I’ve prepared a series of three audio posts to help you dive into an experience of psychotopology fieldwork right away.
Even if you’re a read first, do it later kind of person, though, these audio posts will be essential to your learning. It is virtually impossible to understand this work without direct experience. Make it a priority to try fieldwork yourself one way or another, and consider this as an easy way to do that.
I’ve made this post as the trunk of this fieldwork experience tree, with the following three branches. Let me know your reflections, questions and feedback in the comments — below and on each post, wherever it makes most sense for you.
Another post to make sure to read is A Word of Caution, about the power of fieldwork and how best to proceed. You’ll want to take things slowly. Map and move a few states, and focus on cultivating your access to these new states.
Good luck, and enjoy!!
Wonderful exercise! Currently travelling, I dipped into it more superficially than I would normally engage. Even that brief dip felt powerful! I look forward to coming back to this exercise and learning more. You're onto something important.
Thank you for your work 🙏 💕
